J GROUPでは、ミャンマーの難民の子供たちへ生活費や授業料の支援を行っています。この支援を受けた子供たちからは、生活や学習に対する考え方がどのように変わったか、また近況について、子供たちからいただいた手紙の内容を掲載していきます。
厳しい環境の中でも、彼女たちの未来に希望を持ち続ける姿勢には私たちも学ぶことが多くあります。

My Senior Year and Community Service
My final year of university is a time of both big challenges and new purpose. This semester, which started in August, requires my full focus on my studies. The work is more serious and practical now, as it connects directly to my future career. I tent to have less time for other activities from the university not as the previous academic years, but I find my studies very rewarding. My courses are giving me the real skills and knowledge that I can apply after I graduate. Therefore, this makes all the hard work feel worth it.
My education is not only happening in the classroom. This semester, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to apply my knowledge through a volunteer project working with Myanmar migrant workers in Thailand. As a student in the school of health science, I’ve joined a team led by my professors from school of health science, alongside two other classmates and Myanmar master’s degree students majoring in Public Health focus on Bodder Health. Our mission in this project is to provide essential health care training on topics ranging from health awareness and first aid to risk communication and labor rights.
私の最終学年と地域奉仕活動
大学最終学年は、大きな挑戦と新しい目的を持つ時間です。8月に始まった今学期は、学業に全力で集中することを求められています。授業はこれまでよりも実践的で専門的になり、将来のキャリアに直結しています。そのため、以前の学年ほど大学内の課外活動に割ける時間は少なくなりましたが、学びは非常に充実しており、努力する価値を強く感じています。授業を通じて、卒業後にすぐに活かせるスキルや知識を身につけているからです。
私の学びは教室の中だけにとどまりません。今学期、タイにいるミャンマー移民労働者を支援するボランティアプロジェクトに参加し、知識を実践する素晴らしい機会を得ました。保健科学部の学生として、学部の教授に率いられたチームに、同じ学部のクラスメート2人、そして公衆衛生（特に国境地域の保健）を専攻するミャンマー人の大学院生たちと共に参加しています。私たちの使命は、健康意識、応急手当、リスクコミュニケーション、労働者の権利など幅広いテーマについて、基本的な保健医療トレーニングを提供することです。
My mainly role in the project is to be an interpreter between the Thai and Myanmar languages. We have traveled to six different communities. Each visit has been a powerful learning experience for me. Working alongside professionals, I’ve not only gained valuable knowledge but also a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by my fellow Myanmar people abroad. The dedication of the team and the genuine gratitude of the people we’ve helped have been a powerful reminder of why I chose to study Public Health program. It’s a project that extends beyond the academic and into the truly humanitarian, and I feel incredibly fortunate to be a part of it.
Even though I am studying outside of Myanmar, I always think about my home country. The current situation, with its fear and instability, affects me deeply, even from far away. The news of struggle and conflict is hard to bear. The people of Myanmar especially the young people and children should be able to live without fear. They should have the freedom to study, work, and follow their dreams in peace. This is what I want to share with the world: a call for freedom and a life that is safe.
このプロジェクトにおける私の主な役割は、タイ語とミャンマー語の通訳を務めることです。これまでに6つの異なるコミュニティを訪問しましたが、どの訪問も私にとって大きな学びの場となりました。専門家と共に活動する中で、貴重な知識を得られただけでなく、海外で暮らす同胞ミャンマー人が直面する課題についてより深く理解することができました。チームの献身的な姿勢や、支援を受けた人々からの心からの感謝は、私がなぜ公衆衛生を学ぶ道を選んだのかを強く思い出させてくれます。このプロジェクトは学問を超えて、人道的な意義を持つものであり、その一員であることをとても幸運に思います。
私はミャンマーの外で学んでいますが、常に母国のことを思っています。現在の恐怖と不安定さに満ちた状況は、遠く離れていても私の心を深く揺さぶります。闘争や紛争のニュースに触れるのは辛いことです。ミャンマーの人々、特に若者や子どもたちは、恐怖のない生活を送るべきです。平和の中で学び、働き、自分の夢を追いかける自由を持つべきです。これこそが私が世界に伝えたいこと、すなわち自由と安全な生活への願いです。
Through my studies and volunteer work, I am preparing myself to make a positive impact on my community. I truly believe that every small effort, every act of service, and every voice raised can create a real and lasting change. My education isn’t just for me; it’s a tool I will use to help others and to advocate for a brighter future for my homeland. Your investment in my future is an investment in my community’s future, and I will honor that by using my knowledge and experience to help and share with others.
学業とボランティア活動を通じて、私は自分の地域に前向きな影響を与えるための準備をしています。小さな努力でも、一つひとつの奉仕活動でも、そして一つの声でも、現実に持続的な変化を生み出せると心から信じています。私の教育は自分自身だけのものではなく、他者を助け、母国のより明るい未来を切り開くための道具です。これまでの学びの旅を支えてくださったChild’s Dream FoundationとJapan Food Service Companyに深く感謝申し上げます。皆様が私の未来に投資してくださったことは、私の地域の未来への投資でもあり、そのご恩に報いるために、私は学んだ知識と経験を他の人々に役立て、共有していきます。
